Fees

Small differences in both investment performance, and fees and costs can have a substantial impact on your long-term returns.

When choosing a fund you should compare fees, every single one of them. Look at member fees, contribution fees, entry and exit fees, which can be substantial, plus ongoing management and investment expenses that can surprisingly add up. The HOSTPLUS member fee is a low, flat $1.50 a week. Like most super funds, investment expenses also apply.
