We're also committed to helping you along the way by providing insurance protection for you and your family right now. After all, an accident or illness can disrupt even the most carefully laid plans.

With this in mind, we have designed a quality range of high-value, low-cost insurance options just for you. Your HOSTPLUS membership gives you the control to choose the types and level of insurance benefits you need (within set limits). You can choose insurance cover for:

• if you become permanently disabled or die
• if you die
• if you become temporarily disabled.
  

Currently employee members automatically receive one unit of Death and TPD Insurance Cover when they join HOSTPLUS. This cover is available without any evidence of health and costs $1 per week. If you don't wish to have this insurance cover, you are now able to apply for Death Only Cover or cancel your insurance altogether by advising HOSTPLUS of your decision in writing.
