In less than 10 minutes, you can become a registered HOSTPLUS employer and obtain details to make a payment straight away if you need to. It's easy to join using our online Join and Pay tool.

Of course, if you’d prefer not to join online, you can complete the application form found in the Employer Guide.

There are two parts to making a payment to HOSTPLUS – you need to submit contribution advice details for your employees and then make your actual payment. You can find more information about your obligations and submitting your contribution details here.

We also offer a range of different payment options, including online payment options. If it’s your first payment and you’d like some help, please contact us on 1300 HOSTPLUS (1300 467 875) 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday or visit our Employer Help Centre for assistance.

With SuperSite you can submit your contribution advice online, view your payment history, submit payment advices for different departments within your business, update, edit employee details and submit Tax File Numbers.SuperSite is best suited to employers with LESS than 30 employees, who choose not to upload a payroll file.

With Super FileManager, if you use an electronic payroll system, you can upload your payroll files online. Super FileManager validates your contribution details and informs you via email to confirm your contribution payment.  Super FileManager is best suited to employers with MORE than 30 employees.

If you don’t plan on making regular payments to HOSTPLUS, you can make a one-off payment online. 

If your employee has not provided you with their HOSTPLUS member number, you can still make payments for them as long as you have these details when you make your first payment:

• Full name
• Address
• Date of birth
• Tax File Number

HOSTPLUS requires contributions to be paid on a monthly basis. If your business is not bound by an award or agreement that stipulates monthly contributions, you can contact us to make your payments quarterly. We suggest that your superannuation payments are paid on or before the 14th day of the following month to allow plenty of time for processing. For example, the monthly contribution for February should be made by 14 March.

The Super Guarantee law requires you to pay a minimum of 9% of an employee’s notional earning base. For most employees’, the notional earnings base is pay for their normal working hours (excluding overtime) and is usually called ordinary time earnings (OTE). OTE also includes shift loading, commissions, bonuses and casual loadings in some cases.
