HOSTPLUS have appointed Wayne Sullivan, a superannuation industry specialist on marketing and communication, to the role of National Marketing Programs Manager at HOSTPLUS in Melbourne.
Wayne possesses a very solid 25 years experience in financial services marketing in insurance, banking and superannuation. He is recognised as an authority in the field, has published numerous articles, and is regularly engaged on the industry speaking circuit in conjunction with his work with ASFA as National Conference Committee Member.
Chief Executive Officer David Elia said Wayne’s appointment reflects the increasingly important role of marketing at HOSTPLUS.
“Marketing is a core business function that serves to build the strength of our brand and attract new members, which ultimately enables HOSTPLUS to deliver on its promise of putting more returns into member accounts through achieving greater economies of scale.
“Wayne’s input, leadership and experience will no doubt elevate our brand to an even stronger position in an increasingly competitive environment,” he said.
Reporting to Umberto Mecchi the Executive Manager of Strategy and Marketing at HOSTPLUS, Wayne joins a team that is clearly at the forefront of industry marketing. Umberto Mecchi and Wayne Sullivan are two of the most highly awarded marketers in the superannuation industry. Between them, they have won Rainmaker Marketer of the Year in 2008 and 2009 and a string of major Communication Awards from ASFA and AIST over the last decade.
